How It All Started

Sam and Sarah have been best friends for most of their lives—18 years, but who’s counting. After separate experiences with the criminal system and learning to live as victims of violent crime, the duo decided to bring awareness to cases often ignored by the public.

IHHT is a product of love, dedication and passion for criminal reform, awareness and victims advocacy. While being fans of the true crime genre, both hosts felt that there was a gap in real, humanized discussions on how these crimes happen, and what impacts they leave on countless lives after.

We hope that in listening to each episode, you leave with more knowledge, understanding and empathy for the victims, and a better grasp of how the criminal justice system functions, and how it can fail.
